Why choose SEBC?

Posted by Eric (Team Vertigo) Wednesday, July 22, 2009 0 comments

Special Events Boot Camp, while designed regardless of its participants’ age, gender, or industry, benefits one age group in particular: young adults eager to enter the growing marketing for special events planning at an early age.

Created from the ground up, SEBC is a two day event, from August 10th to 11th, which will provide young professionals (those under the age of 25) with invaluable knowledge about the culture of events planning; knowledge which they will use as a base to further develop it in the future. Through intensive workshops and programs modeled after actual army protocol boot camp, these individuals will be taught every essential aspect of the business, from the organization skills required to arrange any event, to the management skills needed to run it efficiently and effectively at the same time. Even more significant is the custom training and assessments provided by the program. Every individual will have the program tailored to their specific needs, which will only improve on their strengths and weaknesses, ensuring their success in later years.

Lastly, but not the least important, Special Events Boot Camp will provide its participants with priceless connections to many major-label brands and names in not only the events planning industry, but of other industries that outsource their events planning to them. Notable companies such as CIBC have sent its employees to learn from this spectacular event. These connections can be utilized later on to the greatest effect by the unifying event known as Special Events Boot Camp.
Many young professionals have benefited greatly from Special Events Boot Camp, one being Sandra B. Here is her testimonial:

"My three day experience at the camp was the most rewarding I have had for a while, and I will be able to use the knowledge I gained from the camp and apply these skills to my future career. The choice of speakers was very inspiring and highly motivated, and I must say I met some very interesting people and I hope to build friendships with some of these individuals. Thank you once again for a life time opportunity.”

Why not be like Sandra, and join this once in a lifetime opportunity? Young Professionals receive a special discount of $150 off the regular price. All you have to enter the promo code “VertigoE3” when registering! Don’t delay, registration ends on July 31st, so register today!

SEBC's Values

Posted by Eric (Team Vertigo) 0 comments

Below are some of the key values that will be a part of the SEBC experience. These include: awareness, choice, and fun.

SEBC describes the value of awareness as “Distinguishing what is so and making a difference with the resources that are already available, without the need for changing what's so.” Awareness is such an important value in SEBC is to prepare the participants to “expect the unexpected.” In the business world, things can go amiss within seconds, and one has to be ready to face any fluctuations in the plans and respond accordingly. So by being aware of the situations given, one will be able to carefully choose the best response to the given scenario.

Choice is another important value during the 2 days of SEBC. Participants should be allowed the freedom of expression to participate in activities without restrictions. However, with the freedom of choice, one should be able to carefully decide the best possible choice from the sea of ideas. We believe that making good choices is an incredible asset that anyone can benefit from, from birth to death.

Courage is described by SEBC as to ‘have the courage of one’s convictions, to act in accordance with one’s beliefs’. Participants are encouraged to make decisions based on what one feels to be right. Courage is necessary to bring change and creativity into different projects.

Another important value of SEBC is Community. During the SEBC programs, participants will have the chance to be affiliated with various professional organizations, academic intuitions and industry publications. These are great opportunities to network with different people and share personal knowledge and experience with others who share similar interests.

Trust in SEBC is described as ‘causing a new reality that generates a compelling future that makes a difference – while appreciating the present and acknowledging the past – without being bound by the past and what is already present’. Trust is a crucial quality to achieving long-lasting positive relationships in the business world.
Last but not least, we have the ever important – FUN. While having fun, people cherish the experience more, and it makes time fly. Furthermore, it brings out the best in people – creativity, playfulness, etc. By having fun will allow people to think outside the box, come up with BRILLIANT ideas, and ultimately break through the limitation of business practices. So by knowing and carrying the values of awareness, choice, and fun with you throughout SEBC and hopefully the rest of your life, we can guarantee that you’ll be successful!

So, after reading all this, you must be thinking “Wow. SEBC will be WONDERFUL.” But now you’re probably asking yourself, how do you register? No worries. Just head over to the SEBC website (www.specialeventbootcamp.com) and click the registration tab. During your registration, make sure to type in VertigoE3 as your promotion code! Also, follow us throughout the week, as we’ll be bringing you more updates about Special Event Boot Camp!
